Michael Tahlier: Owner/Founder
A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Michael holds a Bachelors Degree in Professional Music with an emphasis in Music Education. Studying under acclaimed musicians Hal Crook, Ed Tomassi, Mick Goodrick, and Jon Damian to name a few; Michael has learned a wide range of teaching styles. As teaching has always been his primary focus, Michael has taught privately as a Berklee College off-campus instructor in Boston, has been a part of the National Musicians Workshop staff in Chicago, IL and has worked as the Guitar Studies Program Director and Guitar Instructor in Chicago since 2007. Mr. Tahlier is the Director of the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay’s Rock Academy, a summer enrichment program offering students grades 8 through the graduating senior, an opportunity to work with professional musician’s and educators from all around the country.
Aside from teaching, Michael is an active performing artist playing lead guitar with singer/songwriter, Tim Stopulos (Tim Stop). His professional career has awarded him opportunities to share the stage with such bands as: Chicago, Howie Day, CCR, 9 Days (Story of a Girl), Girl Talk, and performing with artists, Khari Parker (Destiny’s Child, Beyonce, Boz Scaggs), Rich Stitzel (Miranda Lambert, Anne Harris, Ernie Hendrickson), Chris Clemente (Umphrys McGee, Kanye, Jennifer Hudson) to name a few.

My goal is to be the person people come to for advice, encouragement and to develop my students to their full musical potential. Teaching music is my passion and is very rewarding working with others who share that same passion with me. Music is my life and my goal is to share what I have learned.”
